Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University is Asia's first university established for persons with disabilities. Here, students with disabilities and other students study together in the same classrooms without any discrimination.

The university provides many facilities. It has a large campus, more than 20 departments, and over 50 courses. It also has experienced professors, assistant professors, and research scholars.

The university has a Limb Centre where artificial limbs are made. It provides artificial limbs free of cost to students with disabilities.

The campus also has modern laboratories equipped with advanced technology.

The main aim of the university is to provide equal educational opportunities to students with disabilities and other students.

The university offers courses in various fields, including Engineering, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Law, MBA, Business, Hindi, and many other subjects.

There is also a strong sense of unity among students. Students with disabilities and other students study together without discrimination. The university promotes a sense of equality, understanding, and friendship among them.

This is based on my personal experience, as this was the university where I completed my graduation.

During the initial days, I faced some difficulties. However, after understanding the university's culture, those difficulties gradually turned into friendships. Over time, we developed a good understanding and bond with students with and without disabilities. After that, my overall learning experience became very good.

The university has modern laboratories and experienced teachers. It also organises sports activities and various competitions in which students actively participate. These activities help students develop their skills and grow.

The university continuously makes efforts to support the overall development of its students.

Recently, several conferences were organised by the Engineering Department and various other departments of the university.

My experience at this university was mainly connected to the Computer Science and Engineering Department, which comes under the Engineering Department.
